 Diwali Lost its charm?

Hello everyone, HAPPY DIWALI !

It is the biggest and the most popular festival among hindus. It is the festival of lights and prosperity! Everyone wearing new clothes and relishing all sorts of sweets all day long and bursting crackers, it is the most enjoyable festival i've ever known.

When i was a kid i remember my family friends and relatives gather up early morning around 4.30 am, worship god then wear new clothes and start bursting crackers and come home and have many sweets and chit chatting with relatives all day long. I also remember non-stop noise of firecrackers during the whole diwali time, I would just wait a whole year for this one festival to come... Now i feel like its losing its charm...no family gatherings, not much of sweets or firecrackers. I find people sitting in front of the tv all day and watching special programs and sleeping most of the time....It has turned out to be the most boring holiday ever! I hardly find people bursting crackers early in the morning! no guests no relatives absolutely nothing! I dont know what has really happened...

Is just me feeling this way? I would never forget those good old days...today i think people have become couch potatoes sitting in front of the tv! I would just love to relive those times ! And i hope it gets back its charm
